In the assertion provided, Poe specifies that an author must not think about what he/she will include in their story, but instead to think what effect will it bring amongst the audience. If an author doesn't apply the effect they intended to put on the audience, then that author has failed their first step and therefore, the whole story. For an author to be successful in his/her writing, they must be unique in their writing. In addition, he explains that if an author is to succeed with this "Unique of Effect," then they will achieve the fullest satisfactory. If not, they will leave the audience blurred and lose their attention. He also explains that a wise author must not start their story with incidents and the event, but instead an effect that the whole story will be about. Therefore, everything in the story must lead up to that effect.
Edgar Allen Poe's style in his assertion contemplates to people what his actual reason for this writing is about. He uses literary devices such as metaphor, figure of speech, and diction. He uses the rhetoric device, metaphor, to show the audience what he really means. For example, when he explains his idea through the metaphor of the painting. Using figure of speech, he was able to use other devices such as metaphor and hyperbole. Poe's style of writing is unique and uses specific nouns to express the ideas he is saying.
Poe's style of writing has encouraged many people to follow his steps and learn from their mistakes. With this specific assertion, the audience was able to interpret what he was saying and therefore, authors were able to learn from the best and become successful authors. Poe has exerted many of his knowledge towards us.
Your explanation of rhetoric is confusing. Pick one technique to explain, and explain in detail. For example, you note Poe uses a metaphor. Explain what the metaphor is, how is compares, why Poe chose those specific things to compare.
